A New Speaker Line Up for the Economic Forecast Breakfast Announced

Allen & Company of Florida, Inc. and the Lakeland Area Chamber of Commerce present the 23nd Annual Economic Forecast Breakfast to be held on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the Lakeland Center. This years event features demographist Dr. Robert Lang and national economist Brian Wesbury. Dr. Lang is the Co-Director of the Metropolitan Institute at Virginia Tech in Alexandria, Virginia, and Professor in Urban Affairs and Planning in Virginia Techs School of Planning & International Affairs. Dr. Lang who is the Editor of the scholarly journal Housing Policy Debate is also an Associate Editor for the Journal of the American Planning Association. Dr. Langs research specialties include, suburban studies, world cities, demographic and spatial analysis, housing and the built environment as well as metropolitan governance. Dr. Langs research has been featured in USA Today, New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, US News and World Report and reported on by NPR, CNN, MSNBC, FOX News, and ABC World News Tonight. Dr. Langs work includes the book Edgeless Cities: Exploring the Elusive Metropolis.
