Allen & Company of Florida, Inc. was founded
in 1932 and is the oldest investment firm headquartered in Florida. We are
a wholly owed subsidiary of Allen & Company Financial Corporation. The parent
company is owned by the Allen family and associates (employees) of the firm.
Almost half the firm’s associates are shareholders.
Allen & Company employs 48 associates. There are 27 Financial
Advisors in our firm, 18 in our Lakeland office, 9 in our Winter Haven office. Fourty-four of our associates are holders of
various securities licenses and are registered with the NASD. The firm employs
6 Certified Financial PlannersTM. Several additional Financial Advisors are enrolled
in firm sponsored programs to become CFPs.

Allen & Company uses the clearing services of First Clearing Corporation.
First Clearing, LLC is a subsidiary of Wachovia Corporation - the fourth-largest
bank holding company in America. First Clearing Corporation is an investment resource that
gives Allen & Company Financial Advisors
access to industry and company specific research as well as innovative
products and services, the latest breakthroughs in technology and financial
planning programs.
Our Financial Advisors have access to high-speed
internet services, email services, and online account management services. All
needed office supplies, telephone services, mail and overnight delivery services,
and facilities management services are provided to all associates. We have selling
agreements with virtually all the major investment companies and insurance companies,
and we provide full compliance supervision and advice.
OUR STRENGTH IS IN OUR RELATIONSHIPS
Allen & Company builds strong and long lasting relationships with clients.
We are not a “trading firm”. Most significant relationships start
with a comprehensive financial plan provided by our Director of Planning, Michael
Wright, CFP®. We offer in-house “subject matter experts” in financial
planning, retirement planning, estate planning, long term care insurance, fixed
income investments, and residential mortgages. Through First Clearing
Corporation, our clearing partner, we have access to private investment managers,
syndicate offerings, bond inventories, and global research.
One of the goals on our mission statement
